The Uniform Conditions for the Hotel and Catering Industry

Other conditions

  • All instructions from hotel staff, related to house rules must be followed.

  • During your presence you will use property belonging to Hotel Drachten and third parties, it is forbidden to commit theft or vandalism.

  • Hotel Drachten may charge a deposit at any time. After the rooms have been inspected at check-out and found in order, the deposit will be refunded to you. The deposit will be refunded only to the guest who has identified himself during check-in.

  • Valid identification must be shown at check-in. Check-in is possible from the age of 18. Persons under 18 years of age must have permission from a parent/guardian and must be able to prove that they have permission when asked.

IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO:

  • Smoking in the hotel. Smoking is prohibited in all our rooms and public areas. If you smoke in the room or a public area, we will be forced to impose a fine of €150.00.

  • Possessing, using or trading (soft) drugs (including nitrous oxide cartridges) or weapons during your stay. Any remaining containers of nitrous oxide cannot be collected and will be destroyed.

  • The paid hosting of guests in the room for the purpose of sexual activities.

  • Being in the room with more people than the number reserved for and receiving visitors in the room.

  • Burning (Waxine) candles in the room and/or putting up party decorations. If party decorations are found, we will charge a cleaning fee of € 25.00 per hour.

  • Taping and/or removing or otherwise defusing smoke detectors. We will charge a fine of € 150.00 for taping, removing or disabling smoke detectors.

  • Renting a room in your name without staying in the room yourself.

  • Causing nuisance to others, e.g. by loud music, obnoxious behaviour or noise of any kind.

  • If the fire alarm goes off because of your actions and the fire brigade has to come to the room unnecessarily, we will charge you the fire brigade's call-out fee of € 275.00.

You must leave the room in the same state as you found it. We operate a one-time warning policy. If this is not followed, you must leave the hotel immediately. No money will be returned and any deposit paid will be retained. You will also be blacklisted, which applies to all Van der Valk Hotels.
