Who are we?

With more than a hundred hotels in the Netherlands and abroad, Van der Valk is considered one of the largest family businesses in the Netherlands. Founder Martinus van der Valk has provided for over 800 family members. In January 2001, my parents (Corry van der Valk and Tjomme Langebeek) opened the hotel in Drachten.

Hotel takeover

In 2019, my parents, Corry and Tjomme, handed over the hotel to me. My brothers Stijn and Derk also each run their own Van der Valk establishment; Stijn has been in charge since 2017 at Groningen-Hoogkerk and Derk has been running Van der Valk Hotel Texel-De Koog together with his girlfriend Lisa since 2021.
